I
volunteered for camp this year as a camp counselor to have a closer
relationship with the junior campers and to help deepen their
relationship with
God. I witnessed the children enjoy their time at camp and saw the
changes in
their lives as we focused on knowing more about Jesus. As a camp
counselor, the
greatest reward is seeing their lives change as they commit to live
their life
for Christ. At the end of camp, some expressed a desire to be baptized.
Also
this year, my wife and I invited our nieces and they had so much fun
that they
are already thinking of registering for next year. Being at camp is a
wonderful, memorable experience you will never forget.

Being
on staff at SEP So Cal is such a blessing! God uses that week up on the
mountain to touch the lives of campers and staff alike. Every year I
learn more
about myself and see how God is deepening my love for and
passion/desire to
serve our youth. I would highly recommend volunteering at SEP So Cal
… it will
change your life!
Something
I look forward to every year at SEP So Cal are
the
daily chapels and other times of worship throughout the week. It is so
inspiring
to be worshipping with several hundred other campers and staff who are
pouring
out their hearts to Jesus. This year the chapel messages were very
motivational
and the special drama on Friday night moved me to tears.

I
really enjoyed SEP as a staff member this year because it allowed me to
renew
my fervor for serving God by serving the preteens as a Counselor. I
especially
enjoyed the worship and left camp spiritually invigorated.

"SEP
is truly a blessing! To those who serve and are
served... i.e. for volunteers and campers alike. 2007 was my second
year as a
volunteer, and through this experience I have learned a lot about
God... and a
lot about His love. I had a great time, especially witnessing God's
work at
hand, front and center :).

Camp
is such an incredible experience,
if you haven't
volunteered I highly recommend you do. As Christians, we often put
ourselves in
these little boxes and think that everything is good in the world. But
after
SEP, you realize there are just so many hurting children and they need
us to be
an example of Christ’s love to them.
They need our prayers. I always leave camp with a great
appreciation for
my life and a deeper compassion for the lost and hurting.
Thank
God for SEP. It
gives hope to the hungry, hurting, and lost.

I
have attended SEP five years in Southern California. It has
been a blast every year! I
love the
worship, the activities, the chapel services, classes and the food.
I
have built some great relationships and even had the
opportunity to baptize several campers and staff.
If anyone is wondering if it’s worth their
time to attend camp and help, it certainly is!

I
have seen God work in wonderful ways through the staff at camp
over the years. SEP has such an environment of compassion and love,
that
it is a bit of a
"culture shock" for
some. In that environment, I have known teens where meeting/knowing
Christ at
camp was the turning point from the things that try to replace that
love...
addictions, witchcraft, unhealthy relationships, etc. God has used SEP
powerfully over the years, and has certainly blessed those involved. "

SEP
is one of the best ministry's I have been a part of. The love of God
can been felt and seen in
every aspect of the camp
from staffers and the activities to the camp location itself.
When I
arrive on that mountain to come work at the camp, I just feel the
presence of
God and the anticipation for all that
He is going to
do in that week and after everyone leaves. I definitely recommend going
to this
camp!

SEP
is a place where we can come together, in God's nature, and
welcome each other in brotherly love. It's a place of fairness, where
we all
work together to the goal of coming to know our Creator more, and do it
as one
body united in Christ. I work at this camp, to share His love and joy,
and lead
by example, to help kids grow and mature into people that will be
positive
impacts in this world."
