Driving Directions to Cedar Lake Camp
Using Highway 330
Cedar Lake is above the southwest
shore of Big Bear Lake, just west of the Village of Big Bear Lake. It
is about 38 Miles (1 hour) northeast of San Bernardino. Our coordinates
on the San Bernardino County Thomas Bros. map are page 97, F6.
Cedar Lake Camp phone: (909) 866-5714.
From the west (Pasadena): Camp is about 90 miles from Pasadena; allow 2 hours to drive. Take the 210 freeway east, past the I-15 and I-215. Shortly after the freeway turns south, exit at California 330 and go north; see further directions below. (Parts of the 210 freeway are new and may not appear on older maps. The CA-30 has become part of the 210 freeway.)
From the southwest (Los Angeles): Camp is about 100 miles from Los Angeles; allow 2 hours. Take the 10 Freeway east. Exit the I-10 onto CA-210 (it may be labeled "west," even though it goes north in this section) at Redlands (the exit signs say Mountain Resorts, or Big Bear & Running Springs). Take the 210 north about 3 miles north and exit right onto CA-330, northeast bound.
From the south (San Diego): Camp is about 150 miles from San Diego; allow 2.75 hours. Take the I - 15 north to the 215 north to the I - 10 east; exit at CA-210 and go west/north to CA-330.
Travel north on CA-330 and travel about 15 miles of winding road. At
Running Springs, the 330 ends, and you join the CA-18 to Big Bear Lake.
Pass through the community of Arrowbear, past Snow Valley and the
Arctic Circle, to the dam at Big Bear Lake. At the dam, turn right and
cross the dam itself. After passing Boulder and Metcalf Bays on your
left, you'll pass the Town Hall/Performing Arts Center on the right.
About 2/10 mile further, make a right turn onto Tulip Lane (opposite a
billboard for Oak Knoll Lodge - if you reach the Log Cabin Restaurant,
you've missed Tulip Lane.). Take Tulip about 1/4 mile, and turn right
on Mill Creek Road (Forest Service Road 2N10). Take Mill Creek Road to
the end of the pavement, about 1 mile, and veer right into Cedar Lake
driveway about ¼ mile to the Gatehouse, the first building
on
the right.
