Cedar Lake is above the southwest
shore of Big Bear Lake, just west of the Village of Big Bear Lake. We
are about 38 Miles (1 hour) northeast of San Bernardino. Our
coordinates on the San Bernardino County Thomas Bros. map are 97, F6.
Cedar Lake Camp phone: (909) 866-5714.
At Lucerne Valley follow the signs to
Big Bear/Hwy 18. Hwy 18 takes you up the mountain and into
the valley. Follow 18 around the north/right side of Baldwin Lake (this
"lake" will most likely be dry unless you are arriving in early
spring). See Map 2. Continue on the north shore past the cross streets
of Greenway and Division. At Stanfield Cutoff (a school will be at your
left), turn left. You will see Big Bear Lake on your right. See Map 3.
At the light, turn right onto Big Bear Blvd. Continue on Big
Bear Blvd. After passing through Big Bear Lake (and a few shopping
centers) you will reach a three way stop. You will be facing a Chevron
Gas Station. Turn right. Follow the road around the curve and
up the hill (here you'll pass Magic Mountain/Alpine Slide on the left).
See Map 4. At the top of the hill, Mill Creek road branches off to the
left. Take Mill Creek road through the residential area. You'll
immediately pass the Aspen Glen National Forest Picnic area on the
left, opposite of Oak Knoll Lodge. At the top of the small hill, Mill
Creek branches to the left, turn left. Follow Mill Creek until the
pavement ends. You'll see a gravel road directly in front of you, along
with a sign marked "Cedar Lake Camp". Follow this road into camp.
Welcome to Cedar
Lake!
